"Do you like Rush, or bands that sound like Rush? How about an interesting blend of progressive rock from highly skilled musicians that put it all together with this new album by Waste Lagoon. I’m unfamiliar with Waste Lagoon, but not their sound. The music is Rush influenced and the band makes no excuses about it. What separates this band from all the want-a-be Rush imitators is this band really takes it to the next level. They have their own distinct style and sound, yet you get the feel of Rush in their music.  These guys definitely kick ass with their playing and the quality of their music; melody and harmony filled songs are second to none. The album is full of uptempo numbers like the opening track “Witch Hunt” & “Quite a Story” and great instrumentals like “Lagoona Strangiato” & ”Recycled Waste”.

Shadow Chaser is a high quality progressive rock CD. It is well produced, sounds great and is tightly mixed.  Progressive music lovers who appreciate great playing, and appreciate a taste of something musically adventurous should check this out. Waste Lagoon plays in a similar style as Dream Theater, Rush, Yes, Kansas etc. but they definitely have their own distinct style and sound." - George Roldan, Prog4You.com
